Turner signs with Appalachian State
Emanuel County Institute’s Chad Turner, bottom row second from left, signed a national letter of intent to play football at Appalachian State University on Monday on the campus of ECI. Turner, on offensive lineman, said choosing App wasn’t that hard of a decision. “There were a couple of schools that were in the picture there for a little while,” he said. “I always wanted to go there and once they offered me it wasn’t that big of a decision.” Turner will look to play tackle in Boone, N.C., for the three-time defending National Champion Mountaineers. App. State visits Statesboro Oct. 18.
