BRUNSWICK – The Statesboro Blue Devils might have lost another Region 2-AAAA game Friday night at Brunswick, but the Blue Devils still didn’t lose their chances of making the state playoffs this season. Despite dropping Friday night’s matchup 16-6 to the Pirates in six innings at Edo Miller Park, the Blue Devils could still possibly qualify for the postseason, but will likely need to win their final two region games next week against Ware County and Wayne County to keep those hopes alive. “We still have a little bit of life,” said Statesboro coach Chris Bishop, following the loss to the Pirates.
