Screven County beats Wade Hampton

Screven County made up an early 14 point deficit to beat Wade Hampton (SC) High School 33-17 Saturday afternoon.


Down 14-0 in the second quarter, Screven broke into the game with a an 88 yard pass from Armani Bunbury to cut Wade Hamptons lead in half.


Screven would go on to own the second half, outscoring Wade Hampton 25-3. CJ Wright scored back-to-back touchdowns in the third quarter, the the Gamecocks would ice the game with two defensive scores from Kim Hunter and Kendrick Cox.


Wright would lead the way for Screven on offense with 96 yards on the ground, while Tyquan Johnson came through in the air with six grabs for 135 yards.


Screven County (1-1) is back in action this Friday when they host Statesboro High School (0-2) at 7:30 p.m.
