    Statesboro High will honor its 1964 football team on its 50th reunion on Sept. 26-27.
    The team played all of its games away from Statesboro, as Womack Field was under construction.
    All members of the 1964 Statesboro Blue Devils football team and marching band are invited to attend.

Portal Middle blasts JCMS
    MILLEN — The Portal Middle School Lady Panthers dominated Jenkins County on Tuesday with an 18-5 win.
    Kolbie Motes had a pair of hits and pitched a complete game, striking out six in five innings of work.
    Sloan Aubrey (3-for-3) drove in a pair of runs, and Kara Sivils and Raven Tankersley each finished with a pair of hits.
    Portal (3-3, 3-1 in region play) returns to action on Thursday at home against Emanuel County Institute.
