SYLVANIA — The Screven County Gamecocks led at the half, but couldn't survive a second-half onslaught by Heard County and lost 28-6 on Friday in the second round of the GHSA Class AA state playoffs. The Gamecocks (10-2) led 6-0 at the half. Heard gave SCHS good field position with a 19-yard punt, and the Gamecocks marched 47 yards on six plays capped off by a CJ Wright touchdown from four yards out.
