SYLVANIA — Screven County is now 8-0 on the season and 4-0 in 3-AA play after a 28-22 win over Swainsboro. The Gamecocks scored on the very first play of the game when Jeremy Hawkins returned the opening kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown. Late in the second quarter, SCHS freshman CJ Wright (9 carries, 106 yards) scored from 38 yards out, sending the Gamecocks with a 14-8 lead into the half.
