CHARLESTON, S.C. — Nobody in Georgia seems to be able to beat the Bulloch Academy Lady Gators, but on Saturday at the Carolina Invitational, they played a team from Maryland. Trailing by a point, the Lady Gators made the last bucket of the game, but didn't get it off in time as the horn sounded and St. John's Catholic School of Maryland won 56-55, snapping a 28-game BA winning streak dating back to Dec. 30, 2013. Bulloch (9-1) was led by Pate Lomax, who scored 27 points.
