Softball player Laura Bennett went 5-for-11 with two runs and two RBI during SEB's playoff games last week.

Laura Bennett has been a defensive flex player for Aimee Civalier's SEB squad all year. In fact, Civalier estimated Bennett had just six or seven at-bats going into Saturday.
Bennett went 5-for-11 with two runs and two RBI to help SEB win four straight games and advance to the Elite Eight Thursday in Columbus.
Bennett said she figured she was in the line-up to bunt, but actually missed the only bunt opportunity of the day when she was given the squeeze sign, a sign she hadn't ever seen before on the season.
Bennett was 2-for-3 with an RBI in a 12-1 win over Fitzgerald, 2-for-2 in a 3-2 win over Cook County and 1-for-3 with an RBI in the clinching win over Pierce County.
"I'm glad to admit, maybe I should have had her in the line-up," said Civalier.
