Addie Reddick led BA (11-9, 4-1) with 15 points. Reddick’s 3-pointer halfway through the second quarter helped build BA’s biggest lead of the game.
The Lady Spartans would trail as little as five late in the third quarter at 27-22, but EBA (4-9, 1-5) would never get any closer.
Kacie Lanier added 11 for BA who returns home to host David Emanuel Academy today at 6:30 p.m.

Jasmine Sandifer hit a free throw with 3.1 seconds left, giving Southeast Bulloch a 39-37 lead, but it wasn’t enough as visiting Josey hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to escape with a 40-39 win.
Brittany Carter led SEB (7-10, 3-7) with 14 points and helped the Jackets erase a seven-point deficit late in the fourth quarter.
Sandifer added 11 and Ashley Clifton had 10 for Southeast, which returns to the court tonight to host Swainsboro at 6 p.m.

The homestanding Westside Patriots missed two technical free throws with 3.4 left in the game, then Metter’s Terrence Collins stole the ensuing inbounds pass to seal a 53-52 win in Augusta.
The Tigers (6-12, 3-7) blew a 10 point lead over the final two minutes, but held on for the victory.
Karonja Knight had 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead MHS, while Dillian Lawrence added 10 and Collins finished with nine.
Metter will stay on the road today when they face Jefferson County in Louisville at 8 p.m.

Screven County’s Kadedra Evans scored 30 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in the Lady Gamecocks’ 65-36 win at Swainsboro Friday.
Ashley Loundy had 11 points and Shaneka Lee had 11 rebounds, six assists and four steals for SCHS (17-3, 7-2).

Jordan Walker scored a career-high 18 points for BA (7-11) and 12 of 13 Gators scored.
Boyd Lively scored 13 to lead EBA (0-13, 0-6).
Bulloch will be at home to host David Emanuel at 8 p.m.

Josey beat Southeast Bulloch 51-37 Friday night in Brooklet.
Chris Rogers had 12 to lead SEB (3-18, 1-9) while Tony Raymond had 10 and James Scott had nine.
Southeast will remain at home to host Swainsboro today at 7:30 p.m.
BA B-team boys win
The Bulloch Academy B-team boys topped Edmund Burke 36-27 Friday in Waynesboro.
Taylor Burke had nine points and Jonathan Williamson had eight to pace BA (10-1).

The Bulloch Academy girls’ B-team (6-2) got 10 points each from Rachel Gilbert and Sally Marie Hutch for a 30-20 victory over Edmund Burke Friday night.

The Portal Middle School boys team ended their season with a 60-34 loss at Glennville Friday night in the semifinals of the region tournament.
Despite the loss, the Panthers ended a very successful season with a 9-3 record. Glennville advances to the championship game today against Metter.

Despite having a senior-less squad, Georgia Southern men’s tennis coach Justin Miles believes his team has made huge strides from last season, adding strength and depth to the team.
The Eagles return five players from last year’s roster and have added five newcomers.
Six sophomores make up the heart of the Eagle roster. Philip Prins finished his freshman campaign with four singles victories and five doubles wins. Joris De Weerdt recorded nine singles wins and eight in doubles. Columbus, Ga. native Daniel Harden compiled five victories in both singles and doubles. Neil Shine ended the 2006 season with eight singles victories and seven doubles wins, while Jakub Hanusz picked up seven singles victories and five doubles wins.
Newcomers to the squad include junior transfer Emmanuel Nkoueleue who comes to GSU from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College where he was ranked No. 5 in doubles and No. 17 in singles in the 2004 NJCAA national rankings. The Eagles also add sophomore Matthew Sands who transferred to GSU from Old Dominion University where he finished the 2006 season with a record of 13-7 in singles and 12-11 in doubles.
Rounding out the list of new players are three freshmen will look to gain experience at the collegiate level — Greg Bekkers, Michael Hicks and Borja Malet.
GSU will begin play this weekend as they open up the spring portion of their schedule at Jacksonville (0-1) on Saturday. The match, set for 2 p.m., is the first of many strong non-conference meetings for the Eagles.
The non-conference schedule, which includes trips to No. 26 Georgia Tech (Feb. 3), Central Florida (Feb. 9), North Florida (Feb. 10), Manhattan College (March 15) and Florida Atlantic (March 16), and home matches versus Florida A&M (Feb. 4), South Carolina State (Feb. 16), Bethune-Cookman (Feb. 17), Charleston Southern (Feb. 18), Hampton (March 10) and Stetson (March 11) should prepare the squad for Southern Conference action.
The Eagles will begin SoCon play on March 2 as College of Charleston visits the Hanner Tennis Complex. GSU will face UNC Greensboro (March 4), Davidson (March 7), Elon (March 20) and The Citadel (April 14) in four of 11 total matches in Statesboro this season. Away, GSU will face Furman (March 24), Wofford (March 25), Appalachian State (April 7) and Chattanooga (April 8).

In the Tiny Minor Girls league: The Mercury beat the Sting, 35-8. The Fever scored 40 to the Mystic's 18, and the Sparks topped the Storm, 44-14.
