Georgia Southern’s 3-over 288 in the third and final round of the Hackler Invitational helped lift the Eagles to a 10th place finish Monday at the par-72, 6,950-yard TPC of Myrtle Beach hosted by Coastal Carolina.
After completing the tournament’s first two rounds Sunday afternoon, the Eagles jumped up six places to finish the competition with a 299-294-291=884 (+20) performance.

“We played really well starting out each round and held on strong at the end,” said GSU coach Larry Mays.
“The play was a bit tougher today, but they hung in there, and hopefully we can take the positives from today heading into the weekend’s tournament.”
