Road trips to Jacksonville, Fla. have been a nightmare for the Georgia Southern Eagles this season.
They lost 4-2 to the Jacksonville Dolphins on March 29, and dropped the first road game of the season, 11-3 at North Florida, on March 2.
The Eagles (19-13) have a chance at revenge in short order, as both teams visit J.I. Clements Stadium for mid-week games this week.
The Dolphins (20-12) come to town today at 6 p.m.
Chris Beck (4-0) will get the start for GSU, but will be on a pitch count.
Jacksonville enters the contest having swept Mercer in a three-game series. Mercer defeated GSU 14-1 Wednesday, before the Eagles went on the road and split two games against Marshall Sunday in a rain-shortened series.
Though Beck was credited with the start in Game 1 against the Thundering Herd Friday, the game was suspended before he threw a pitch. His last true start came against The Citadel on April 1.
Josh Adams, in a similar situation to Beck, will also be on a pitch count Wednesday when he makes the 6 p.m. start against North Florida (19-14).
