Georgia Southern softball pitcher Sarah Purvis and baseball pitcher Josh Wirsu each earnes Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week awards, the league announced Monday. Purvis earned her fifth SoCon Pitcher of the Week honor of the year and her ninth career weekly award for another stellar week in the pitching circle. Purvis recorded 20 strikeouts in the weekend series against Appalachian State and posted a 2-0 record by tossing a pair of complete games.
