georgiasouthernlogo

The Georgia Southern swimming and diving team (12-4) plays host to Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) foe North Florida Saturday, at the GSU Recreation Activity Center. The 16-event meet begins at 12 p.m. and admission is free. This will be the Eagles’ final competition before the CCSA Championships in Athens Feb. 17-19.
The execution by the Eagles in their home pool has been staggering as Georgia Southern holds an all-time 14-3 record at The RAC.
The Eagles added to that record this past October when the team defeated College of Charleston (128-99) and SCAD (139-73).
This will be the last meet at home for seniors Carolina Bevillard, Ali Campbell, Meredith Fehr Lindsay Goodman, Kristen Haudenschild and Laurie Stephens. They will be honored prior to the start of the meet.
Georgia Southern is coming off a trip to Davidson, N.C., where it defeated five of its six opponents in the seven-team Davidson meet.
The Eagles out-scored fellow CCSA members Campbell, Howard, Liberty, North Carolina A&T and Radford.
Davidson, playing host to the 16-event meet at the Cannon Natatorium, was the only team to top GSU.
Georgia Southern recorded 13 top-three finishes throughout the day, including five event victories.
