In Jeff Monken’s first stint at Georgia Southern, the Eagles were pretty much guaranteed of finishing no worse than third in the Southern Conference. Actually during Monken’s five years as an assistant coach on Paul Johnson’s staff third place wasn’t even an option. The Eagles won the league title each year.
