Former Georgia Southern pitcher Dexter Bobo has signed a free agent contract with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Bobo (Cumming, Ga.) put together another solid season as an Eagle, collecting a team-best 10 saves over the course of his senior campaign. His 10 saves ranked third in the Southern Conference and 27th in the nation. Making 28 appearances and one start, Bobo finished the 2010 season with a 3.94 ERA and a 1-2 record. The relief pitcher recorded 45.2 innings on the mound, striking out 36 and held opponents to a .274 batting average.
In his inaugural campaign at GS, Bobo logged 34.1 innings in 28 appearances for a 2-2 record and 6.55 ERA as a junior. He fanned 32 batters and picked up three saves on the year.
For his career, Bobo made 56 appearances and one start. The left-handed pitcher finished his career ranked in the top-10 at Georgia Southern, finishing fifth in career saves with 13 sand tied for fifth in a season with 10 saves.
