NEW YORK — Atlanta Braves pitcher Jair Jurrjens has been placed on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained right knee.
The All-Star right-hander is 0-1 in his last four starts, allowing 16 earned runs over 23 innings. He had surgery on the same knee in October to repair a torn meniscus.
Jurrjens also missed time in April because of an oblique injury. He is 12-4 this season with a 2.63 ERA and 85 strikeouts in 133 2-3 innings. The move was made Saturday, retroactive to Tuesday.
Left-hander Mike Minor was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett.
The Braves were set to get third baseman Chipper Jones back in the starting lineup for Saturday night's rain-delayed game against the Mets. He has been hampered by a quadriceps injury following arthroscopic knee surgery on June 25.

Jones was in the Atlanta lineup batting fifth, but rain clouds threatened the game.
