Mrs. Virginia “Ginger” Salvino
BROOKLET, Ga. -- Mrs. Virginia “Ginger” Salvino, age 71, died on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at her residence.
    The Savannah native had lived in Bulloch County since 1987. Ginger worked in the hospitality industry for many years and retired from Georgia Southern University as an administrative secretary to the department chair in the Academic Success Department. She was a member of Old Fellowship Baptist Church.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert James and Thelma S. Salvino; a son, Russell Cain; her brother, Michael Salvino; her stepfather, John Beckman; and a sister, Lois Sparks.
    Surviving is her husband of 25 years, David Riggs of Brooklet; a brother, James Salvino of Baldwin, Fla. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    The graveside service and burial will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Old Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
