ROCKY FORD, Ga. -- Mrs. Vera Fanning Bunch, age 72, died on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018, at Westwood Nursing Home in Statesboro.
    She was a native of Bulloch County and graduated from Southeast Bulloch High School. Vera was employed with ITT Grinnell and retired following 30 years of service. She was a loving mother and also enjoyed fishing with her husband and growing flowers.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Fanning and Sally Wilkes; and her brother, Edward Fanning.
    She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Franklin Bunch Sr. of Rocky Ford; her children, Dolores Bunch of Millen, James Franklin Bunch Jr. of Rocky Ford and Floyd Bunch of Millen; her sister, Ruby McDonald of Pembroke; and two grandsons, Andrew Dixon and Brandon Dixon.
    The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Rocky Ford Baptist Church, with the funeral service immediately following visitation at 11 a.m. Pastor Mike Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Rocky Ford Cemetery.
