Mrs. Mary Etta Spaulding
STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mrs. Mary Etta Spaulding, age 98, passed into to rest Monday, June 11, 2018, at the Brown's Health and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Screven County native resided in Statesboro many years and was a member of the St. John Baptist Church of Oliver. While residing in Statesboro, Georgia, she attended the Original First African Baptist Church, where she sung in the church choir.
    She was a retired domestic worker.
    She leaves to cherish her legacy of love: her children, Doris Daniels, Statesboro, Ga.; Alma Taylor, Detroit, Mich.; Harry Dale Spaulding, Cleveland, Ohio; and Operadella Brown, Hinesville, Ga.; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
    Family visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    The funeral service for Mrs. Spaulding will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, in the chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc., with the Rev. Bennie Brinson officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Baptist Church Cemetery, Oliver, Georgia.
    Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
