Twin City, Ga. — Mrs. Marguerite Ann NeSmith, age 75, died Tuesday at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro. The Ellabell, Georgia native was employed many years with Cari Classics and Pride Manufacturing in Portal. She later began her career with Cooper-Wiss and retired from Cooper Tools, following over 19 years of service. She was a member of Love in Action Church in Swainsboro.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Foy and Louette Adams Jernigan; her husband, Robert Irone NeSmith; a son, James Lamar NeSmith and her brother Harry Joe Jernigan.
Surviving are four daughters and two sons-in-law, Margaret C. NeSmith of Twin City, Edgielou Ray of Ellabell, Teresa and James Davis of Twin City and Kaye and Bobby Vanhorn of Portal; a son, Mike NeSmith of Portal; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty and Mike Johnson of Dothan, Ala., Gail Flowers of Glennville and Linda and Jerry Grimes of Dublin; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. in Upper Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor Willie Harden and James Davis officiating.
Pallbearers will be Earon Davis, T.J. Davis, Leslie Heath, Wesley Hopkins, Paul NeSmith and D. J. Cox.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.
