STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Ralph Edward “Eddie” Clayton, age 61, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018, surrounded by his family.
    The Statesboro native was a skilled construction leader most of his life. He enjoyed being outdoors with a campfire surrounded by family and friends.
    Eddie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lt. C.E. Tucker and Carrie Tucker; his mother, Carolyn Tucker Clayton; and grandparents, Carl and Ethell Clayton.
    Surviving are his three daughters, Elizabeth (Brent), Leigh (Tony) and Lara (Nick); his father, Bobby R. Clayton of Wilmington Island; two brothers, Steve Clayton and Mike Clayton; a sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Nick “Best Friend” Pascullis; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Sam, Madison, Cane Wyatt, Bryce, Emilie and Lilly. He cherished his niece, Niki P. Horne (Ivan) and Tucker Horne; nephews, Eric Clayton and Dylan Clayton. His loving friends, Jennifer (David) and Daughtry Thompson, April Rushing and Robert Johns also survive. Many other friends and family survive.
    All of his grandchildren will remember his “secrets” he shared with all of them.
    The family will receive visitors on Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
    An informal service will be held in the visitation room at 7 p.m. with Elder Howard Rushing speaking. A private graveside service and burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
