Mr. Alvoy “Big Al” Mosley I, age 51, of Portal, Ga., entered into eternal rest on Friday evening, June 29th, at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital after an extended illness. He was a Bulloch County native and a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Mosley and Son Trucking Company.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: his devoted wife, Velma Scott Mosley of Portal, Ga.; daughters, Victory Mosley, Victoria Mosley, Velta Mosley and Velma Louise Mosley, all of Portal, Ga.; one son, Alvoy (Erica) Mosley II of Portal, Ga.; parents, W.C. and Sula Mosley of Portal, Ga.; sisters, Marcella Mosley, Stephania Mosley and Loretta (Wayne) McGuire, all of Portal, Ga.; one brother, W.C. (Shanna) Mosley Jr. of Statesboro, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Sylvaia Bryant of Statesboro, Ga.; Brenda Ellison of Portal, Ga.; mother-in-law, Thelma Scott Ellison (Robert Earl White) of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of many relatives and friends.
Family and Friends' visitation for Mr. Alvoy “Big Al” Mosley I will be Friday, July 6, 2018, from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
The celebration of life service will be Saturday, July 7th, 2018, at 3 p.m. at the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Williams Road, Statesboro, Ga. Elder Gary Wallace, pastor; with Pastor Lisa Deloach as eulogist. Interment will be held in the Eastside Cemetery on Northside Drive.
Services are entrusted to the care of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Inc., Statesboro Chapel.
