Alma Cribbs Bragg passed away on Sunday, June 3rd, while under the exemplary care of Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, Georgia.
    Alma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
    She was born on May 19, 1931, to Robert Lee and Pearl Kangeter Cribbs of Stilson, Georgia. She and her twin brother, Alvis "Bo", graduated from Stilson High School in 1948.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, Reginald M.; daughter, Barbara (Bobbie); grandson-in-law, Shane Keim; sister, Christine C. Smith; brothers, Leon, James and her twin, Alvis "Bo"; and brother-in-law, William A. Bragg of Augusta.
    She is survived by her daughters, Christine B. Smith of Stilson, Mary B. (Ben) Buie of Brooklet, Regina B. (Alan) Blair of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Kristin B. (Ben) Purvis, Alison B. Keim, Ashley B. (Corey) Hendrix, Elizabeth S. (George) Walton, William R. Smith; brother, Russell (Gloria) Cribbs of Pembroke; sisters-in-law, Myrtle Cribbs of Stilson, Jenny Bragg of Augusta, Virginia (Terry) Nesmith of Nevils; five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, particularly Jimmy Hagans, whom she regarded as a son.
    Her family was blessed to have three additional caregivers for Alma during the last two years of her life. These wonderful women, Lori Dodson, Debbie Connor and Shirley Bath, were considered family by Alma.
    Alma had an unwavering sense of family and her home was always open. She was a generous supporter of her children and grandchildren in their school, community and church activities. She was a determined advocate for the rights of children with special needs like her daughter, Bobbie, and was committed to the services provided through High Hope -– Pineland Services.
    Alma was a lifelong member of Old Fellowship Baptist Church in Stilson and attended regularly until she was no longer able to do so.
    She also enjoyed socializing with friends. Alma was a member of the Ladies’ Card Club of Stilson and was an active participant in the Statesboro Senior Citizens/Bulloch County Recreation Department and was a member of their Kazoo Band. She was also a member of the Brooklet/Arcola Homemakers’ Club.
    Alma’s family and friends truly loved her. She will be missed, but the memory of her nurturing spirit and influence will continue.
    Visitation will be at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home in Statesboro Sunday, June 10, from 5 until 7 p.m.
    The funeral service will be on Monday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at Old Fellowship Baptist Church in Stilson with Dr. Reland Morgan officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
    Various nephews will serve as pallbearers.
