A Statesboro woman was killed Sunday night when a tanker truck pulled into her path on Highway 301 South.

Bulloch County Coroner Jake Futch said Alejandra Martinez, 33, of Teal Circle, was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday night.

Georgia State Patrol Post 45 reports were incomplete Monday, but reports stated that the accident occurred near Buddy's Truck Stop on Highway 301 South around 6 p.m.

Martinez was traveling south when she struck and ran underneath a tanker driven by Charles Britt, 66, of Conway, South Carolina. Charges are pending, as the case has been turned over to the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.
