A woman was charged with child cruelty and aggravated assault after beating her teenage daughter with a board Wednesday, police said. The 17-year-old was first taken to East Georgia Regional Medical Center, then transported to Memorial Medical Center in Savannah for treatment of her injuries, said Statesboro Police Community Information Specialist Madison Warren. Kizzie Lavenia Dockery of Park Place Apartments faces charges of aggravated assault (family violence), first degree cruelty to children, and two counts of third degree cruelty to children, she said.
