A tip from a concerned citizen led Metter police to arrest a woman on methamphetamine charges Tuesday. Maggie Leann Napier, 33, of an undisclosed address in Metter, was charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute and giving a false name to law enforcement, Metter Police Chief Dennis Nelson said in a statement released Wednesday. Metter police, as well as Candler County sheriff's deputies and agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Southeastern Regional Drug Enforcement Office acted on a tip Tuesday and located Napier at the American Inn Hotel on South Lewis Street in Metter, Nelson said.
