Local American Legion program celebrates US military personnel

A Veterans Day celebration Tuesday focused on the sacrifices of those who served in U.S. wars and why they did. Georgia Southern University ROTC's Lt. Col. Gary Morea was featured speaker for the ceremony, hosted by the Dexter Allen American Legion Post 90, held in the Emma Kelly Theater at the Averitt Center for the Arts. Morea expressed gratitude for those organizing the event to honor veterans.
