A man with a gun robbed a U.S. 301 South restaurant Tuesday night, fleeing after he was given money. No one was injured in the robbery, said Statesboro Police Capt. Scott P. Brunson. A heavyset black male, wearing all black clothing except for a blue ski mask, walked through a door at the rear of Uncle Shug's Chicken Barn around 8:45 p.m., flashed a "small, bright-colored" hand gun, and demanded cash, he said.
