Two shot at Statesboro Elks Lodge
crime-scene-tape

Two men were shot, with one seriously injured, early Saturday morning at the Elks Lodge on James Street, off Martin Luther King Dr.
Statesboro police are seeking information about the incident, said Deputy Chief Rob Bryan.
Around 2:40 a.m., officers responded to a call about an aggravated assault at the Elks Lodge. Once they arrived they found two victims - one, shot in the hand, was taken by private vehicle to East Georgia Regional Medical Center, while the second, shot several times in the torso, was taken to Memorial Hospital in Savannah. The victim was listed in stable condition Monday, he said.
"This incident does not appear to be a random act," he said. "Detectives are currently following up on potential leads, however no witnesses have currently come forward."
Bryan had no further information, stating the investigation continues.
Anyone with information concerning this case is asked to contact the Statesboro Police Department at (912) 764-9911.
