A man and a juvenile entered a business Thursday and snatched collection containers holding cash before fleeing. They were later apprehended and arrested, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.
Thursday around 2:30 p.m. Roderick Demon Curtis, 21, and a 15-year-old male from Teal Circle entered a business called Mi San Pedro located on U.S. 301 South and "grabbed two containers off the counter," he said.
The containers held approximately $30 in cash and change, he said.
The two offenders fled on foot, but responding deputies launched an investigation and collected evidence and statements regarding the robbery by sudden snatch, he said.
Deputies located Curtis and the teen and took them into custody based upon the evidence and testimony from witnesses and the victim. Both were charged with robbery (theft by sudden snatching) and were taken to the Bulloch County Jail.
Curtis,  also of Teal Circle, has a previous criminal record including charges of affray (fighting) and probation violation, according to jail records, and is being held without bond, Anderson said.
The teenager was released into his father's custody, he said.
No one was injured in the incident, he said.
