Those who have contacted Congressional candidate Max Burns' office seeking tickets for Monday's  "Georgia Victory 2006 Rally" featuring a visit from President George W. Bush should expect a phone call or email today informing them how to get those tickets.
Tim Baker, Burns' campaign manager, told the Statesboro Herald his office will be contacting those who will get tickets to let them know where a ticket distribution center will be set up in Statesboro.
Guests will be able to pickup the tickets  "Saturday and Sunday," and said the location of the center, as well as the times it will be open, will be announced later today.
Georgia Republican Party spokesman Paul Benneke said Wednesday the doors to Hanner Fieldhouse will likely be opened between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. and closed at 10:30 a.m., since the rally begins at 11 a.m.
He said a security sweep would likely take place around 7 a.m., with reporters and others leaving cameras and other equipment inside during the sweep. Metal detectors will likely also be used when people enter the facility, he said.
This is the president’s second visit to Georgia this year to campaign for Burns. On September 7, he visited the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum in Pooler for a fund raising event.
