What started out as a farmer’s market booth 10 years ago continues to grow.
Currently operating a wholesale roasting program and three coffee shop locations, Three Tree Coffee is preparing to open their fourth coffee shop location next week.
According to a release from the company, the fourth coffee shop is located at 1701 Chandler, which is a new Georgia Southern student housing development by CCI Real Estate. The property can house up to 120 students and there is a dedicated space for the Baptist Collegiate Ministries at Georgia Southern to meet, as well.
“I can’t wait to open our fourth coffee shop,” said Philip Klayman, founder of Three Tree. “Having started out as just a coffee roasting company, I never thought we’d have lots of stores. But as we explored this opportunity, it seemed like a really great partnership and a fantastic way to create a unique experience for Georgia Southern students.”
The grand opening for 1701 Chandler is scheduled for Aug. 17. You can learn more about Three Tree Coffee by visiting their website at www.threetreecoffee.com
Looking ahead to 2027, Klayman said Three Tree will continue to partner with CCI Real Estate and plans to open coffee shop locations in Athens near the University of Georgia and in Atlanta next to Georgia Tech.
Klayman said in the release that both locations – five and six – will open fall 2027.
“It is surreal to consider that we will serve guests at three of Georgia’s most beloved universities,” he said. “With the growth, we inherit a greater opportunity for impact in our initiative to end human trafficking. And none of this would have been possible if it weren’t for the incredible community in Statesboro rallying around our mission. It is an honor to represent the Boro as we grow and we can’t wait to bring Joyful Hospitality to more people.”
Klayman said his company’s mission continues to be using specialty coffee to empower farmers, end human trafficking and engage the community.
For those wondering why there is yet another coffee shop option coming to Statesboro, Klayman offered: “At least it isn’t another chicken place.”
