A third suspect in a shooting at Metter’s Club 46 in January is wanted on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Metter Police Chief Dennis Nelson said James Lyndell Williams 20, Herschel Drive, Metter, is considered “armed and dangerous” and hopes citizens will call in with information on his whereabouts.
Williams is suspected to be involved in the shooting of a 27-year-old male at the Ga. 46 nightclub near Portal-Metter Highway in January.
Already arrested in the incident are Brand Elliott Grant, 34, Country Club Road, Statesboro and Joe Lester Denson Jr., 33, Washington Street, Metter, both also charged with aggravated assault.
An arrest warrant was issued for  Williams  and police suspect he is still in the area of Candler and/or Bulloch County, Nelson said.
“Mr. Williams should be considered as armed and dangerous and we will treat him that way,” he said.  “It is obvious that this community is growing very weary of these senseless acts of random violence that seem to center around Club 46.”
Community help is appreciated in finding the suspect, he said. “We greatly appreciate the community’s support as we received numerous tips leading up to the identification of Williams and we hope to have him in custody very soon.”
An increased patrol has been set for the area. “We will continue to aggressively patrol the area around Club 46 and weed out and prosecute offenders of such violent crimes,” he said.
He praised the investigator handling the incident’s investigation.
“While this investigation is still ongoing, I would like to point out that Metter Investigator Tim Platt worked very hard to obtain the identification of this suspect.”
Anyone having any additional information on this case or who knows where Williams may be is asked to contact Platt at 912-685-2190 or

Holli Bragg maybe reached at (912) 489-9414.
