A teenage boy was charged Tuesday with molesting two female juveniles who visited relatives near his home, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.Devonte Taiwan Williams, 17, Anderson Parrish Road, Portal, could be charged as an adult for the crimes, although they occurred when he was 16, he said.On July 22, Bulloch County Sheriff’s deputies were called to an Anderson Parrish Road residence regarding the alleged molestation of a five-year-old and a six-year-old girl, he said.“Forensic interviews with the juveniles and subsequent interviews with witnesses indicated that the abuse consisted of a single incident which occurred during a visit by the juveniles to relatives,” he said.Further evidence discovered led investigators to charge the teen with two counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of sodomy, he said.Even if Williams had not turned 16, the seriousness of the crimes could have him charged as an adult. Ogeechee Judicial Circuit Assistant District Attorney Michael Muldrew said the charges are included in the “Seven Deadly Sins,” which by Georgia law allows juvenile offenders to be tried as adults if charged with any of these seven crimes.Earlier this year a 15-year-old boy was charged with molesting a juvenile boy while visiting the victim’s home. Last month a 13-year-old boy was charged with touching a five-year-old female relative in an inappropriate manner.Muldrew said the District Attorney’s office is reviewing the case.
