The Teal House, Statesboro’s Regional Sexual Assault & Child Advocacy Center, announced Friday the appointment of Ashley Lindsay as interim executive director.
Lindsay brings more than 10 years of experience in grants management and nonprofit executive leadership. She most recently served as executive director/CEO of the Children's Advocacy Center of Lowndes County for nine years.
"I am honored to step into this role and to work alongside our multidisciplinary partners in this critical work," Lindsay said. "Our commitment remains, first and foremost, to the children, families and survivors we are honored to serve, and to ensuring they continue to receive the advocacy and support they deserve without interruption."
In her Lowndes County position, Lindsay led multi-county operations and expanded services from six to eight counties. She helped strengthen collaboration among law enforcement, the Division of Family and Children Services, prosecution, medical providers and schools. She has served on the Children's Advocacy Centers of Georgia Statewide Site Review Committee, and she is a graduate of the University of Georgia's Executive Leadership Program for Nonprofit Organizations, class of 2024. Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Valdosta State University.
The nonprofit organization, The Teal House was founded in 2007, serves Bulloch, Jenkins, Screven and Effingham counties, working with law enforcement, community leaders and the district attorney’s office to provide counseling and physical care for victims of sexual assault.
As interim executive director, Lindsay will provide organizational leadership for The Teal House, including budget development, grant oversight and compliance, and continued coordination with the center's partners across law enforcement, medical, legal and social services systems. Good Day Consultants will support the Board of Directors in their search of a permanent executive director.

About the Teal House
The Teal House provides forensic interviews, medical forensic exams, victim advocacy, and emotional support to victims of sexual assault and child abuse of all ages, at no cost, in coordination with law enforcement, prosecutors, medical providers and social services. The Teal House also provides community education, awareness and prevention programming throughout the region. The Teal House is located at 209 South College Street.
