Three Sylvania juveniles were caught breaking into a Statesboro apartment early Monday morning, said Statesboro Police Maj. Rob Bryan.

Around 3:45 a.m., witnesses called to report a possible burglary in progress at Cambridge the Palms on Lanier Drive, he said.

"Officers located, detained and identified three suspects attempting to enter an apartment window," Bryan said.

The teens - ages 18, 15 and 14, all males - were arrested on charges of criminal attempt at first-degree burglary (felony) and possession of tools for the commission of a crime. They were transported to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office and later taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center in Claxton, Bryan said.

"This case is still under investigation, and additional charges are possible," he said.

Anyone with information concerning this case is asked to contact the Statesboro Police Department at (912) 764-9911.
