A man sought by Statesboro Police in connection to several automobile break-ins was apprehended Wednesday in Florida, charged with the same crime there, said Statesboro Police Capt. Scott P. Brunson. Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies charged Johnny Laprelle Cook, 21, Mason road, College Park, with entering auto, and learned the Statesboro Police Department sought Cook on the same charges, he said. After several weeks of investigation, Statesboro Police detectives issued a warrant for Cook July 9, seeking him in connection with several entering auto cases that occurred near Olive Garden, Pittman Park Methodist Church, and the College Plaza area, Brunson said.
