The recent arrest of one man has cleared two burglary investigations, police said.
Officers responded to a burglary in progress at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at Eagle Walk Apartments on Knight Drive, according to a Statesboro Police Department news release issued Monday.
Advanced Patrol Officer Katrina Marson located Matthew Antwan Moore, 24, of Savannah, on Chandler Road, and he matched the description of the suspect, police said.
Through further investigation Moore was arrested, according to the news release.
During the investigation, Moore was found to be wearing items reported stolen in another burglary investigation that began the previous day at Park Place Villas, police said.
Moore was then charged with the burglary at Park Place, the release says.
Moore was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of loitering and prowling.
