A Metts Road man driving a utility vehicle pulled into the path of an oncoming car Friday night, causing a crash that sent him to the hospital. Wayne Stephen Mallard, 47, of Metts Road, was charged with DUI, according to Georgia State Patrol reports. Mallard was driving a Kawasaki Mule, with two juvenile teenage passengers, around 8:50 p.m. Friday when he pulled into the path of an oncoming car.
