With its efforts to revitalize South Main Street and maintain a lively downtown, Statesboro has become one of 50 America’s Best Communities quarterfinalists. The top three finalists will receive awards of $3 million, $2 million and $1 million.Frontier Communications, DISH Network, CoBank and The Weather Channel are sponsoring the America’s Best Communities competition nationally.
