Statesboro has shot at $3 million
City part of America's Best Communities competition

Jaclyn Cason of Frontier Communincations announces that Statesboro is a quarter-finalist for the America's Best Communities prize. Cason made the announcement Thursday at the Averitt Center for the Arts new Mical Whitaker Black Box Theater on West Main Street.
With its efforts to revitalize South Main Street and maintain a lively downtown, Statesboro has become one of 50 America’s Best Communities quarterfinalists. The top three finalists will receive awards of $3 million, $2 million and $1 million.Frontier Communications, DISH Network, CoBank and The Weather Channel are sponsoring the America’s Best Communities competition nationally. Statesboro applied as a community served by Frontier.“This is such a great place to live and work, and everyone at Frontier is so proud to serve this area,” said Jaclyn Cason, general manager in Frontier Communications’ Statesboro office.
