Statesboro City Council will hold its first regular meeting of May on Tuesday.
Council will join Mayor Joe Brannen and City Manager Frank Parker in the second-floor chambers of City Hall at 9 a.m. to review a short list of agenda items and take part in a post-meeting work session.
Items appearing before council will include: a resolution to move a city polling location from the Honey Bowen Building to Pittman Park Methodist Church (a move agreed upon by council in April), a motion to award a city hauling contract to Rackleff Enterprises and a motion to award a $195,811 contract to Tyson Utilities Construction, of Metter, for a waterline extension along Ga. 67.
Council will hold an executive session to discuss “potential litigation” and stay following the meeting for a work session to review possible changes to stormwater regulations.
Agendas for the sessions can be accessed by visiting the city’s website at www.statesboroga.net.
