State School Superintendent Richard Woods and Governor’s Office of Student Achievement Executive Director Joy Hawkins are scheduled to be at the First District RESA office, 201 West Lee St. in Brooklet, for a listening session 9-11 a.m. Tuesday.
The Georgia Department of Education and GOSA have planned listening sessions on primary and secondary education in each Regional Education Service Agency, or RESA, area throughout the state. Because of limited space, RESA has asked that people who plan to participate to RSVP. To do so, contact First District RESA at 912-842-5161 or email Richard Smith at email@example.com.
The state agencies first put the word out through the Bulloch County Schools and invited Board of Education members. A brief event honoring local REACH scholars in the Class of 2019 is slated for after the session.
