Are all the deadbeat dads in Bulloch County African American? I think not. But the selection of only African Americans to put on the front page of the paper on Thursday certainly made it seem that way. What happened to objective journalism ... and sensitivity for all readers of the Statesboro Herald? Thanks a lot and have a great day.

Hats off to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Department for the deadbeat dads ... sweep. Let's don't forget ... deadbeat moms. I know a deadbeat mom ... that... that left her two young daughters with their father over 10 years ago. She owes $42,000 in arrears for child support. ... She works, receives food stamps ... and lives in a high-dollar ... duplex apartment near the hospital. What's wrong with our system?

Hey, guys, that little loop around those ... pants is where you ... put a belt. ... It's there for a reason. ... Put a belt in it. ... Instead of havin' it hang down ... so low to where it's an embarrassment ... to children. ... It's there for a reason. Just like tires on a automobile are there for a reason. You drive on 'em. ... And ... it looks a whole lot more decent-lookin'.

Thank you, Statesboro Herald, for copying and pasting the article from AP verifying ... vilifying ... Exxon for earning 11 billion dollars. What you might have wanted to add is that Exxon only earns two cent on every gallon they produce, refine and sell ... while the federal government earns a whopping 48 percent. No, 48 ... cents for every gallon. Your outrage, AP, may be slightly misdirected.

In reference to a caller's suggesting that Belks and Penneys have shopping carts, I think it's a very good idea. I know visiting relatives in Florida, they're Belks and Penneys has shopping carts and they're enjoyed by all patrons, not just handicap. I think something to be considered.

The day's comin' when ... everybody's gon' hafta start eatin' armadillos and 'possums ... maybe birds, too, ... because of the grocery prices. And nobody be able to drive. We'll all have to drive mopeds ... or get us a skateboard. ... Thank you, Washington.

Congratulations boys and girls soccer teams for making it to regions. Good luck, SEB.

A strange local ... commercial ... on TV. ... A female attorney sitting on a couch surrounded by dogs. A man comes in, sits beside her and a large dog washes his face ... as he stares off into space.
