It must be nice to sit in the safety of one's home ... and call Soundoff and call people you disagree with names. It's funny because in my movin' around the city and county ... I don't hear any name-calling at all. If the Herald ... required a name and phone number ... for everyone who calls in, I wonder how many of these calls would just disappear.

Obviously, Governor Deal is not a good deal. Reportedly, he wants a secrecy bill or tax break for new businesses.

I see Statesboro's got a new junk yard over there by the college on 301. I ain't gon' say the name of the motel ... but I thought the city had a ordinance on junk cars. You can get scrap metal, drugs and ... prostitutes out the one motel. Think they need to clean it up.

Most stores are so big ... that they carry what they want to or what sells pretty quick. ... But when I used to buyin' somethin' ... there and then they choose not to carry it there ... for whatever reason ... or they're sold out of it, I choose to go somewhere so I can get what I ... the products that I want and need.

In reference to the article in Thursday's paper about Mexicans gettin' jobs and the blacks and whites don't ... Mexicans actually work, show up for work ... and do work ... and don't expect nuthin' but a decent pay. ... But they do work where a lot of the others ... don't.
