I see where Savannah's gonna ban cigarette smoking in bars, restaurants, even outside and standin' in line. ... Totally amazin' for a city where the smell ... the ... stench of the paper will in the air will eat the paint off your car but won't hurt your lungs.

To the ignorant ... woman in Sunday's Letters to the Editors. ... You're quite naive. ... A certificate of birth is not the same as a certificate of live birth. ... Which is not the same as a birth certificate.

... I'd like to know why gas is $2.94 in Portal at Clyde's ... and you follow the truck all the way over to Rocky Ford and it's $3.0 ... 5 ... a gallon. I mean, what's the difference? All come off the same truck and ever'thing. ... Somebody needs to do somethin' about this gas-gougin'. Bye!

I wonder if any other city of Statesboro residents are paying six dollars a gallon for gas ... three dollars for your own car ... and three dollars for the city of Statesboro police car ... that is ... driven to Portal and left overnight. ... We citizens pay enough taxes that we should not be gouged for ... police cars to be left ... as far away as Portal overnight.
