Shots were fired Wednesday after a confrontation in an Eldora area convenience store. No one was injured, said Bulloch County sheriff’s Chief Deputy Jared Akins.
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Deputy William Sims responded Wednesday to the “Eldora Mall” convenience store on Eldora Road in southeast Bulloch County. County 911 dispatchers had received a call about a dispute, according to sheriff’s incident reports.
Sims met with a victim, Brian Beasley, who said he was assaulted by “four or five male subjects.”
The store owner told Sims the men left in blue Pontiac G6 after firing two shots from the car window, reports stated. Sims was unable to locate the vehicle in the area.
Beasley said he was inside the store when one man came inside, demanding he come outside. He did not, so another man entered and threatened to drag him outside if he did not come willingly.
Beasley still did not go outside, but told the store owner about the situation, and the owner, who was not fully identified in reports, ordered the offenders to leave “before he shot them,” according to reports.
The men fired the two shots as they drove away, the store owner said.
Beasley identified three of the five offenders, and told Sims one man claimed Beasley owed his mother money. Beasley denied owing the woman and said he did not know why the offender made that claim, reports stated.
Akins said Beasley was given advice to seek warrants through the Bulloch County Magistrate Court.
