One person was killed in a one crash Wednesday afternoon when he was thrown from a vehicle that ran off the road.
Brian Knight, 18, of Savannah, was a passenger in a Ford Ranger that was traveling east on Highway 46 approximately 20 miles east of Statesboro at 5:30 p.m. The vehicle, driven by Daniel Bush, attempted to negotiate a curve and went off the roadway and struck a culvert, according to a Georgia State Patrol fatality report.
Knight, who was not wearing his seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and killed as a result of the crash.
The incident is still being investigated and charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
