Cowboys from around the world will ride into town this weekend to compete in the Statesboro Kiwanis Rodeo Friday and Saturday. Speaking from the beach in Brunswick Friday, where Hedrick Rodeo Company was operating another rodeo, owner Danny Hedrick said he expects many of the same professionals attending the Brunswick rodeo to register for the two-night event at the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fairgrounds. Contestants from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Oklahoma, Texas and several other locations are expected to compete in barrel racing, steer wrestling, bull and bronc riding and more.
