An unknown person opened fire around 3:45 a.m. Sunday in the Georgia Avenue area, striking at least two victims, according to Statesboro Police reports. A man at The Pointe at Southern apartments told police he was peppered with pellets from a shotgun blast by an "unknown person" for "unknown reasons," reports stated.
A second unidentified victim called Statesboro Police from Claxton to report having suffered minor injuries from the same incident, reports said.
