Bulloch County sheriff’s investigators charged a Portal-area man with aggravated child molestation after someone reported concerns.

Following investigation, Bulloch County sheriff’s Investigator Reid Odom arrested Charles Bradley Henderson Nov. 22, said Bulloch County sheriff’s Capt. Todd Hutchens.

The case is still under investigation, but Henderson, 31, could face further charges, he said. He is believed to have sexually molested a female relative under the age of 13 at his Pioneer Trail home, Hutchens said.

Aggravated child molestation is defined in the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (OCGA) 16-6-4(c) as follows: “A person commits the offense of aggravated child molestation when such person commits an offense of child molestation which act physically injures the child or involves an act of sodomy.”

Henderson was taken to the Bulloch County Jail, where he remains in custody without bond, according to jail records.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Odom at (912) 764-8888.

Bulloch County sheriff’s investigators are also gathering evidence on a separate, unrelated case involving alleged sexual misconduct by two juveniles.

Bulloch County sheriff’s Chief Deputy Bill Black released a report Monday regarding an aggravated sodomy case reported Saturday at a Pinemount Boulevard location. Both involved are juveniles, and as of Tuesday there were no charges, Hutchens said.
